This month, I’ve recruited 21 friends to form a team with me for the 2011 Iron Distance Challenge. We all log our mileage from swimming, biking, and running/walking, and combine them to get our score of completed Iron Man Distances. Well, I’ve been putting in a half mile here and there around a loop in our neighborhood quite frequently. Today, my son announced to the family that he wanted to “do a mile with Mommy!” Well, this was just plain irresistable. Who could deny a child wanting to ride his scooter with Mommy?
The innocent desire from a child to spend time with Mommy outside was all it took!
